Welcome to the first edition of before and after!
Let us journey back into the early spring of this year...late March, early April. We were not allowed into what is now our house yet, but we began pecking away at the front and back yard. This is where we started:

Notice the big, uncontrollable pine (in my language "Christmas tree") on the right. There were three of those in a row directly in front of the house. Here's another of the front exterior (below). Notice the chain link fence that covered the driveway. That's the first thing I did away with. It was to keep the dogs out of the road, but it was ugly! The tree that looks pretty barren is actually a cherry tree that we've now cleaned up a bit. It has the most delicious sour wild cherries on it!

Of course, I spruced up the porch a little! |

Before |
This is the flower bed to the left of our driveway. Notice the crazy tree house, fence again, and random planters. We've cleaned up a whole lot here, but the weeds are still our enemy! We're waiting for winter to give us a fresh, new starting point for next spring!

Driveway After |
This was our driveway. Another of those crazy Christmas Trees was taking it over!
And here we are minus the Christmas tree with freshly edged driveway, featuring our trash can (and some random, white truck) because it's Monday and that's trash day!
Of course, I have to thank those that helped so much to make our outside (and inside look like they do now)! I don't have pictures of Bobby and Toni (Andy's parents), but they helped out a lot, too! His poor dad wanted to get his hands dirty so very badly, but was still recovering from an awful case of the shingles. :-(
